Description:

Talent:

Carrie Underwood, Bonnie Bernstein

Process:

For this piece, Fire Starter Studios worked closely with the executives at Sports Illustrated on the vision for the finished piece as wells as who would be the best person to feature. After compiling a list of notable women in various industries who had a formative background in sports the collective decision was made to go after Carrie Underwood as the subject for the piece.

Ultimately we would be delivering to Sports Illustrated 3 versions of the piece, a Sizzle Reel/Sales and Sponsorship tool, the full profile piece, and a cut-down 3-minute version of the finished piece.

We pitched our concept for the series to Carrie and her team and they loved it. The next step was finding a time in Carrie’s busy schedule to film with our crew. Because of Sports Illustrated’s timeline we ended up shooting 6 days before delivery of the Sizzle Reel and our writing and post production teams worked round the clock and through the weekend to deliver a rough cut within 3 days if filming. Sports Illustrated replied with minimal notes and a fine cut was delivered for approval within 24 hours. With approval of the fine cut the Fire Starter Studios Post Production Team went to work on the final color correction and audio mix and the completed piece was delivered to Sports Illustrated in time for their scheduled presentation.
